The Mox Motors wiper blades offer a functional upgrade, that also happens to add a neat accent to your truck. Each set is unique – the printing process is done in a way that no two wiper blades get the same exact pattern.

I’ve used several different wiper blades over the years. Most of them aren’t the best. The Mox Motors option was a pleasant surprise. I thought it would only be a visual gimmick, but they work super well.

While these are on my 3rd Gen Tacoma, they come in several sizes that fit most Toyota applications (and then some).

Overview

This set offers a complete replacement for the 3rd Gen Tacoma. It installs just like any other wiper blade, usually in under a minute. A big selling point is that you also have the ability to swap your inserts when they wear out, saving you money in the long run.

The hydro-dipping process uses a custom made topo map print, which is never applied in the exact same way to more than one blade. The wipers are constructed from a strong natural rubber and rayed for over 500,000 wipe cycles (equals over 12 months of use).

No matter if you live where the temperatures dip or if your truck bakes in the desert heat, the blades are tested between -40F to 131F. The “hybrid” design helps to prevent road junk and snow from obstructing the blade too.

Testing & Review

Like I said before, most wiper blades suck. I had seen the Mox Motors blades float around a few Instagram pages, and I thought it might be a catchy product without true merit. But once I spoke with David at Mox and finally got my hands on a set, I could tell they had some potential.

I already mentioned the install. No different than any other wiper blade set. So nothing really special there. Quick and simple to remove or replace.

The plastic exterior sections articulate with each other, presumably to ensure even contact to the windshield surface while they work. The result is a clean looking set of wipers that should resist chattering.

Now, for what really matters. Do they actually do the job? Short answer – yes, 100%.

This wiper blade set works super well. I’ve tested them in snow, rain, dust, and a good range of temperatures over the last few weeks. The one thing that usually happen with wiper blades is that they tend to lose contact at the outer edges of their reach. This happens because the windshield is not flat and most wiper blades don’t account for the curved shape well enough.

Even after repeated use, and a variety of temperatures that could have messed with the rubber insert, the blades reach end to end perfectly, and do a really good job of consistently and repeatedly doing their job. I’m not trying to overexaggerate either. It’s genuinely a solid set for your truck. No wind noise, no fading of the coating, no streaking – nothing I could complain about.

Final Thoughts

All things considered, I would call this a great buy. Not only do they look cool, but the Mox Motors wiper blade set works great. It’s a budget-friendly modification, and will ultimately save you money if you continue to replace the inserts alone. Could be a gift, or a quick buy for your personal rig, I don’t think you can go wrong by picking up a set of these.
