This panel allows you to mount just about any MOLLE-compatible accessory you can find. It also features additional pre-drilled holes for mounting things like RotopaX and QuickFist clamps and offers additional tie-down points for securing your cargo.
The panel and mounting brackets are made from high-quality 11-gauge steel, making it super durable and resistant to bending with your accessories attached. I opted for the optional black powder coat, however, you can also get the panel in raw steel if you want to choose your own finish.
For those who like simple installs, this panel is 100% bolt-on and can used with or without the factory accessory rail.
Installing the panel was super easy and only took me 30 minutes. The kit includes all of the hardware and brackets needed.
Step 1. Remove Front Bed Bolts
Start by removing the two bolts at the front of the bed using a T55 Torx socket. Set these aside as you will be reusing them later.
Step 2. Attach Mounting Feet To Panel
Using the two 3/8 bolts, lock washer, and washer, secure both of the mounting feet onto the panel. Keep these hand tight for now for final adjustments later.
Step 3. Remove Header Rail Bolts
Remove the two upper bed bolts on the far left and right sides using a T30 Torx bit. These are known to easily strip, so make sure to apply some pressure to the bolt when unscrewing them.
Step 4. Align MOLLE Panel
Place the panel at the front of the bed and align the holes on the mounting feet to the holes in the bottom of the bed.
Step 5. Loosely Install Header Rail Bolts
Slide the included spacers between the bed and the panel. Then, using two of the new M6 mounting bolts, lock washers, and washers, reinstall the far left and right screws and spacers using your 5/32 Allen key to hold the panel in place.
Step 6. Set Mounting Feet Height
With the upper bolts tightened, screw in the bottom bed bolts but do not tighten them all the way. Tighten both of the bolts on the mounting feet and panel with your 7/32 Allen key.
Make sure that the bottom of the mounting feet is sitting flush against the bed.
Step 7. Install Upper Bolts & Hardware
Remove the two screws that you installed on the far left and right side so that you can move the panel and unscrew the remaining upper factory bed bolts using a T30 Torx bit.
With all of the upper factory bolts removed, reinstall all of the new M6 bolts, washers, and spacers into the factory bed holes and tighten them down until snug.
Step 8. Tighten Down Bed Bolts & Remaining Hardware
Finally, tighten the bottom bed bolts and torque them to around 60 ft-lbs.
Having the ability to mount all different types of equipment and accessories is a total game changer for organizing the bed of my Tacoma. Before having the MOLLE panel, I would just toss my gear in the back where it would move around when hitting the trails which left me having to reorganize every time. Since I use my bed to sleep in, this isn’t something that was efficient or practical.
I’m super impressed with the quality and durability of the panel. Being made out of steel, it is able to hold any piece of gear I’ve mounted to it and gives me a way to secure my cargo.
With a super easy installation, high-quality materials, unlimited customization options, and a design that combines both aesthetics and functionality, I think the All-Pro Bed MOLLE Panel is the perfect exterior accessory for every Tacoma.
