If you’ve been on the fence about swapping your front bumper but you’re terrified of butchering your truck, I get it. I was afraid of the same thing. I was avoiding cutting into a brand-new 2025 Tacoma TRD Off-Road, but the Cali Raised Stealth Bumper left me with zero regrets.
This is a low-profile, steel front bumper built specifically for the 4th Gen (2024+) Toyota Tacoma. Rather than replacing your entire front end with a massive tube- or plate-style setup, it seamlessly integrates with the lines of your factory bumper, removing the lower center section and replacing it with a clean, purpose-built steel face that offers better protection and gives you a proper platform for winch and light mounting.
This is a bolt-on upgrade that uses your factory mounting points, very minimal cutting required on your end. There’s no welding, just unbolt the old stuff, snip a couple points, bolt on the new, and you’re done. For anyone hesitant to go this route due to concerns about custom fabrication, this is a great option.
In the next section, I’ll explain why this bumper has a unique design that we haven’t seen anywhere else…

Features & Specs

Cali’s low profile bumper is different than others… The have a modular, build-as-you-go setup, that starts with just the shell alone, and then offers optional winch tray and bull bar.
This all makes everything very affordable, and makes it easy to scale with your build. And starting at $500, this might just be the most well priced low profile option on the market.

Build Quality

The moment you pull this out of the box, you can tell it’s not a budget piece. The bumper is super beefy, the welds are clean, and the black powder coat is uniform and consistent. There are no sharp edges or rough spots where the laser cut meets the metal. It looks like something that was built with intention.
The 3/16″ faceplate handles real-world trail abuse, and the 1/4″ winch plate is there when you actually need it. Two 3/4″ recovery points are welded directly into the frame mounts, so they’re structural, not just bolt-on afterthoughts. I have no concerns about how it will hold up on the trail.
Cali Raised makes these in America (their Texas facility), and you can feel it in the fit and finish. Everything lines up the way it should, and the factory body lines of the Tacoma are preserved. It doesn’t look like a DIY mod.
Installation Overview

I’ll be completely honest…. I was nervous. Anything that involves taking apart the front of a truck I’m still paying for gives me a lot of concerns. But Cali Raised’s install instructions made this as painless as a bumper upgrade can be. Everything mounts to factory points, all hardware is included, and the estimated 2-3 hour install time is realistic. I wasn’t in a rush and got it done in 2.
Very minor cutting is required of the plastic front bumper, and there’s no modification like drilling or cutting to the frame. If you can handle basic hand tools and follow step-by-step instructions, you can do this. That’s the kind of upgrade I can get behind: maximum visual and functional impact with minimum risk to the truck. For most of us, that makes sense having a lease/loan on your primary vehicle.
Compatible Accessories

The Stealth Bumper is sold on its own, and Cali Raised offers its own add-ons to build it out however you want. I went with the full setup.
Winch Tray + Rough Country 13K Winch
The Cali Raised Winch Tray is required if you want to run a winch; the bumper itself is winch-ready, but needs the tray to actually mount one. I dropped in a Rough Country 13,000 lb. winch, which fits perfectly. The bumper is rated for 8,000–12,000 lb. winches with a remote-mount solenoid box, so the Rough Country 13K was a small risk, but it ended up fitting great.
Bull Bar
The bolt-on bull bar adds a mid-height steel loop in front of the bumper for added protection and a little more visual presence. It bolts directly to the front, no extra fabrication or modification needed. If you’re going to spend the money anyway, this is a high-value add for what it gives you.
Light Bar
The bumper comes with a pre-cut slot for a 32″ single-row light bar. I paired it with a Cali Raised 32″ light bar, which drops right into the cutout for a factory-fit look. The integration is clean; it looks like it was always supposed to be there.
Front Skid Plate
To round out the front-end protection, I added their aluminum front skid plate. One important callout: the Stealth is not compatible with TRD or Trailhunter skid plates, so if you’re running either, you’ll need to remove it before installing this bumper (or perhaps trim it). The Cali Raised skid is the obvious choice here and ties the whole setup together.
Overall Impressions

This is where the Stealth Bumper earns its name. It’s not a massive, imposing full-width option that changes your truck’s whole personality. It keeps a low profile, stays within the factory body lines, and gives the front end a purposeful, clean look that says trail-ready without screaming for attention. On a TRD Off-Road, it fits the aesthetic perfectly.
With the bull bar, winch, and light bar all in place, the whole front end looks cohesive and intentional. It doesn’t look pieced together. That’s harder to pull off than it sounds, and Cali Raised nailed it.

Final Thoughts

The Cali Raised Stealth Bumper is everything I wanted in a front bumper upgrade and none of what I was worried about. It’s purpose-built for the 2024+ Tacoma, built in America, and installs without a single modification to your truck’s frame. The low-profile design is exactly right fo that you want to look good on the street and perform on the trail.
Paired with the accessories above for recovery capability and protection, this setup covers every base. It’s the kind of front end that’s ready for whatever weekend comes next. Yes, the add-ons stack up in cost. But when you’re building something you’re going to rely on, you want it done right the first time. The Stealth Bumper is the kind of upgrade you only need to buy once.
Would I make the same decision again? Without question. Would I recommend it to anyone building out a 2024+ Tacoma? Absolutely, and it should be at the top of your list.
